Each year Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics invites applications for postdoctoral positions, including named fellowships, from new and recent PhDs working in fundamental theoretical physics.

Our areas of research include:

Importantly, research at Perimeter focuses on the intersections of those research areas. Most postdoctoral positions are offered for a period of three years. You may be eligible to hold a named four year postdoctoral fellowship. Senior five-year fellowships are also available. Fellowships may, in addition, be offered jointly between Perimeter and partner institutes and universities.

As a postdoctoral researcher at Perimeter Institute, you will be part of a thriving international research community which includes 24 Faculty, including 8 Perimeter Research Chairs, 21 Associate Faculty, including one Perimeter Research Chair, 36 Distinguished Visiting Research Chairs, 44 Visiting Fellows, 8 Perimeter Scholars International Teaching Faculty Fellows, 59 Postdoctoral Researchers, 7 associate postdoctoral researchers. The Institute is also host to 79 graduate students and 22 master’s-level students participating in Perimeter Scholars International. Perimeter also welcomes more than 1,000 visiting researchers and conference participants every year. We are committed to building an inclusive community that promotes excellence.
